RIP Project Runway Blog...

It is with great sadness that we inform you that the Project Runway portion of The New Old Biddy's blog has passed away.  It lived a good life for many seasons up until the end.

However, please join us on the discussion page where Project Runway continues to live and thrive.  Also make sure to check out Blogging Project Runway for all your blog fixes.  (It's okay, The New Old Biddy's Project Runway blog would want you to continue to live your life.)

The New Old Biddy was overheard telling officials earlier today, "I'm very sorry for not being able to keep this aspect of my blog alive, but life changes, and my blog needs to reflect that.  Now please respect my need for privacy as I grieve for my loss."

In lieu of flowers, please send comments of condolence below.

  1. The world has lost another great one far to early it its young life. There was more for it to give but all give and no take is hard, Project Runway took a lot from our fallen friend and I assert that while it didn't kill the internet connection or break the keyboard it should take responsibility for sucking to the point where the blog was left with no choice. I will burn a candle in rememberence of you and will hope that you will rise out of the ashes and grace us with a Letter from Jennifer soon to fill the void. Go in peace!

  2. But there was so much grist for the mill in the last ep!

But yeah. I don't know why I watch anymore.

  3. TO BE CLEAR: I will still blog about other creative and awesome things! Just not PR.

Z - There is a lot to blog about... just not enough TIME to blog about it all. Especially now that its 90 minutes. TOO MUCH. Brain exploded.

  6. Boo hoo!! I'll miss my weekly updates on yummy Christopher, Gunn love, and Cassanova's asshat-ery. Oh Jennifer - why must you have a life?

  7. That sucks! Your PR blogs are the best ones of all the recaps. I especially enjoy your photo captions. I've grunted many times out loud at your putting words in Tim's mouth.

  8. I know, I'm sorry you guys. Maybe once in awhile I'll still caption a Tim Gunn pic. :)

  9. This makes me so sad!! I've enjoyed your PR blogs since I found you through Jenna Fisher's recommendation on myspace many seasons ago. Enjoyed your hilarious commentary so much!

  10. Oh well. It's a sad day. I was looking forward to reading your thoughts on Gretchen's transformation this week. She went from Plain Jane Hippy Chick to I don't know what. The amount of makeup she was wearing for runway day was astounding.

  12. Noo! I'm pretty sure reading this was half the reason I continued watching last season. If I stop watching now my boyfriend will thank you. In fact, here's a thank you from him in advance.

  13. PR editors even took all your advice from last season and didn't completely give away the story line in the first 5 minutes. Even their outside shots look fresher. They liked you. They really really liked you!

  14. a very sad, though understandable, loss. wearing all black today and eating only gruel. (ps: if i had one of those tim gunn bobblehead figures, i would be sure that he was in proper mourning attire as well. but alas, i do not. the tim gunn of my imagination though is engaging in bereft weeping and gnashing of teeth- but only to the extent that his suits do not get wrinkled.)

  15. Oh. No. Gosh. I really enjoyed your take (and recap) of PR. I seemed to get confused sometimes by those folks.

There is no comparative replacement for your blog (not Blogging Project Runway or even the discussion page).

I also found you through Jenna Fischer's recommendation on MySpace.

This friendship will go on, you are too talented to not want to keep on knowing more about you and seeing more from you (e.g. The Robots).

  16. :( I started watching PR just because of your blogs. I recently got the boy into it. We watch it every Saturday night (yay DVR!) and make comments (sometimes nice, a lot snarky) about things as if we knew what we were talking about. (We don't.)

While watching, I'd wonder what you thought and always looked forward to reading your thoughts!

I will miss your PR posts! But I am also looking forward to posts from you on other topics!

  17. OH I feel so bad that I'm letting you guys down. I promise to blog about happy fun NYC stuff though! You're not rid of me! (YET.) ;)

  18. Sorry to hear this....I watch PR just to read your comments and laugh and laugh. But I do understand......priorities.....//pouty face//

  19. I expect the great American Fashion Designer Michael Kors will wear black to morn this loss of comedic talent. You have made us all laugh and enjoy PR in a whole new way...perhaps the only way. But our comments alone can't pay the bills. I look forward to bacon robots. Thanks for all the PR laughs!!

  20. Oh man, this biddy is tearing up. Thank you so much for your words and support, everyone! Who knows, maybe someday it WILL pay the bills and I'll be back!

  21. Awwww that's too bad! Whenever I'd watch the latest episode of PR, I'd think to myself, "Ohhhh I bet 'the new ol' biddy' will have something to say about THAT!!" ;) And I'd always wonder what you thought about each outfit walking down the runway. You're like a friend that I found myself always agreeing with. How about this? We can schedule a time to watch the show together over the phone and we can gossip all the way through?? ;) hahaha

But I understand that your priorities have shifted. That's the thing about life, you're always growing and changing. Good luck with the new chapter of your life, I hope its pathway leads you to something really great! ~M
